WHAT’S NEW

March 21, 2022 - We finally had a few days of pleasant weather and I was able to get all of the pieces of the subfloor cut and in place. I will need to use a few screws to hold the panels in place while the build progresses. I decided to wait for the subfloor to be completed before arranging for the installation of windows and fan by Heart of Texas Conversion.

February 24, 2022 - Between the cold weather and waiting for parts to arrive, work on the van has been slow. A big part of Phase 1 is the installation of windows and fan by Heart of Texas Conversion. Well the inner trim rings have finally arrived and I can now get the install scheduled. Building from scratch does require a lot of pieces to come together.

February 14, 2022 - Added the Building a Bathroom section to Camper Van.

February 4, 2022 - Changed up the design for the Camper Van page and added below Start With Subfloor some pics of all of tools needed to accommodate the dynamic shape of the van.

January 24, 2022 - The following has been added to Tiny Temple: How will I know that my building of the tiny temple is going well? There is an old business adage that says: “You can’t manage what you don’t measure.” So what could I measure on this project. It is said that “the truth will set you free.” If the tiny temple is being built on core truths, I should experience freedom. I am thinking of freedom from such things as fear, worry, and bitterness. If the work on the tiny temple is going well, I should see those things disappear and notice peace coming into my life.

January 23, 2022 - I changed the Belief page to Tiny Temple and started adding content on the temple. I changed Reckoning to Connecting Dots and added content

January 5, 2022 - Added info on composting toilet to the Van Build page. We decided to go with a composting toilet from Natures Head. NO BLACKWATER TANK. Done right this is the most sustainable solution. I have heard that you can also gain access to off grid sites by showing that you have a composting toilet and therefore no blackwater. Seems more and more destinations are not trusting the promise by people that they will not dump on the ground.

January 1, 2022 - NO EXPECTATIONS

As an older guy, I believe that I have just started a new season in my life. To help kick things off I decided to do a personal website. My initial motivation was to share about the van conversion I will be starting next week. However in getting the site built there were other items that needed to be covered: Belief and Reckoning.

No expectations - just wanting to share.
