CONNECTING DOTS

When the dots finally converge there is a connection.  Connected dots provide a clarity that you can swear by and will never forget.  One type of clarity is the realization that two seemingly identical things are actually quite different.  Another clarity is how something fits into a spectrum between two opposite points.

EASY VERSUS SIMPLE. Something very difficult and complex can with enough effort be made easy.  On the other hand, simple is intrinsic, by its nature it is simple.

ESSENTIAL.  Essential is between minimalism and hoarding.  The problem with the two opposites is that they both steal you of your individualism.  Minimalism imposes rules and constraints that leave little or no room for personal expression.  Hoarding is a whiteout of stuff that obscures any view of yourself.  An essential approach recognizes the necessity of getting rid of the excess but yet leaves room for the personal items that make a person unique.

When I get busy and I tend to focus on what’s important (that urgent stuff). Then it becomes clear - get the essential done first - then see if I need to do more.

“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.”
